Senior Environmental Scientist – Forest Pest Management Specialist
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist (Forest Pest Management Specialist) to cover the northern region of the State. The specialist will work with private landowners, forest industry, homeowners, local and state governments, land managers and others in the identification and recommendations for control of forest insects, diseases and other forest health issues, conduct surveys and monitoring of native and exotic pests, do public outreach, training and education and a variety of other forest health related activities.
The position is based at our northern regional headquarters in Redding, California, and is one of four regionally based forest pest management specialists.
