The History Committee acquires, preserves, and publishes material involving historical letters, and memorabilia related to forest entomology in western North America. Publications by the co-chairs have appeared in American Entomologist and serial publications of the Pacific Northwest Research Station (formerly Forest and Range Experiment Station). The committee also conducts workshops and participates in plenary sessions at annual WFIWC meetings as requested by program committees. View an overview of WFIWC history. Also available online: Historical Vignettes from the WFIWC archives, and a Bibliography of historical articles related to western forest entomology.
The official WFIWC archive is the University of Idaho Library, Special Collections. Contact: Erin Passehl-Stoddart, Head of Special Collections (firstname.lastname@example.org). Among the material available at the archive is a complete set of WFIWC proceedings.
